JIMS brings blue prints alive at Ideometric Warriors

Young designer’s displayed their creative innovations at Ideometric Warriors, the annual two-day interior design exhibition organized by Department of Interior Design, JaganNath Institute of Management Science (JIMS), Sec-3 Rohini.

The two day exhibition was inaugurated by Lipika Sud, one of India’s leading Interior Designer and chairperson, Institute of Indian Interior Designers (Delhi Regional Chapter) at Dilli Haat, Pitam Pura.

Renuka Jain, Head of the Department (Interior Design) was also present during the inauguration.

“I’m very glad to be part of this creative fair. It was a treat to see such quite innovative piece of work around here. I believe that creativity is gift of God not everyone is blessed with it. However it is also very important to nourish it in the proper way. JIMS is doing a good job in this regard. I appreciate JIMS for organizing such an event which showcases that talent of the budding interior designers,” said Lipika Sud.

With a harmonic convergence of art, aesthetics, culture and nature, the exhibition is stands alone with unique products. The displayed items of the exhibition were categorised into three: Product Design, Project Design and Low cost furniture.

‘Asters’, a lamp made of waste materials (bottles) is an eco-friendly product on display while “Fiddle Cache”, a guitar-shaped display unit, can bring musical mood to living room.

‘Fauteuil Bercant’, chair made of rope, ply board and metal rod; ‘Vitrine Jouet Panier’, showcase toy basket for kids; ‘Domper n Kampus’ an innovative multi purpose storage unit; and ‘Book Worm’, a book shelf evolved from a mixture of traditional and contemporary design are some of the low cost furniture on display.

Apart from products, projects designs like design of a hotel suite are also at display. Innovative themes for space planning of these projects have been used. A Hotel Suites with Dilli6, playing with colours theme, exhibition stall of information channel, MD office of an music company were on display in form of 3-D models.

Speaking on the occasion, Renuka Jain, said, ”We are very proud to exhibit our students creativity on display for the second consecutive year. The support we received from the visitors last time was quite encouraging. It is essential for every student to have the right creativity in mind and more so, it is important to give the right treatment to the blue prints to develop the product in real.”
