Son of clerk tops UP 10th board

Son of a clerk at District Magistrate office, Akash Yadav, has topped Uttar Pradesh board high school examinations by securing 92 per cent.


He stood first among 36,03,857 students who appeared for class 10 exams conducted by Uttar Pradesh Board for Secondary Education, results of which were declared on Friday.
Aakash was meritorious student and was receiving divisional scholarship of Rs 500 per month from the state government, his father Ram Kumar Yadav said.

Father of two sons and two daughters, Yadav, said not only his son, but his daughter Vidya is also a meritorious student, who has secured 72 per cent in class 10 this year.

Akash wants to join IIT and become an engineer.
